Probably a topic like this already, but I don’t want to look for it!
As the title suggests, say what your job is, or what you do/study!
I’m a Test Analyst for a company called Capgemini, though I did a 3 month intensive course on Object-Orientated Programming, so I’m also an “Oracle Certified
Associate (OCA) Java
SE7 Programmer”!
The full training course involved:
Java SE7
SQL
HTML, Javascript and CSS (those in the know will see why I put them next to each other!)
Drinking lots of coffee
For those interested…you’ve got a few stages of testing. You hear most about beta testing, but I’m near the other end of the scale.
I’m mainly a Functional System Tester following the waterfall approach…though the Wikipedia description does not match what I do totally!
In reality I trace every step through…following a Test Design I have previously planned and written to ensure I miss nothing.
I’m part of the Aspire project, to get more information search “Capgemini Aspire” into Google and you’ll find it soon enough.
So, if something needs to be tested…don’t ask me (didn’t expect that did you?)! I do enough at work, without doing it in my own time as well!
I’m a co-founder of a design and development studio, I work on client websites from small-town businesses sites to even as large as international schools and universities. I’m certified in PHP >5 and trained MySQL database deployment and management, PHP security and vulnerability assessment Additionally, I know various other languages from C++ to LUA, python and many other entry level languages.
Teddy, sounds nice! C++ is supposed to be a nice one…never had the chance to use it! Where I am people mainly programme/develop with UNIX shells!
SQL is my best friend right now…I collect a lot of evidence with spool files!
My project is shown by my display picture! That’s who we make the software for!
I study Information Security Management, which is basically auditing companies, writing policy, dealing with incidents, giving advice. Additionally, i’ve specialized myself in mobile malware and encyption.
Also, i do webdevelopment in my free time, and i’m a moderator on Argonaths teamspeak server.
Currently doing a Bac Pro Commerce, going to change a General next year and after I’ll continue in the informatic side, either hardware either software. Maybe both. Would be in the direction of reparations and building servers etc. Also able to create websites, I can use PHP/HTML and I know how to make SQL bases.
I am currently studying in a technical / vocational school in the vehicle sector as an automobile mechanic. During this year I will be learning the basics whilst the second year I will be specializing in electronic systems and functions of vehicle. I am looking for a job in the future in a vehicle workshop or I might go to the merchant navy once my studies are done which will require further studying.
I’m working in a pretty good restaurant as a Assistant Chef, also bartending but due some accident to the assistant chef i took his place.
Also, i just got accepted in Unversity, on a direction called “Software Design” where we are currently learning about scriping, making different programs, mostly Java. It’s nice to see people like Teddy and Ben into it also, can you please leave your msn so i can contact you if i need some help? please ?
